Any FM members got their head around the above. ?
didn`t get to any of the meetings about it.

They’re ahead of the game, obviously helping with all that Arla milk going into H’west! No. I've seen the email and shelved it until after Christmas. We have our annual review the first week of January and I'll probably dig it out again then.
Not sure you have to do everything on the list. Impression I got was if ( for example ) min till was not a viable option for your farm /system you did not have to do it.Some of it sounds good, but realy not sure 0.5p/litre will cover the cost of doing the stuff and the min-till equipment.
Maybe not yet, but you watch any of the regen stuff on you tube and none plough, so it will be comming that's for sure. And 0.5p/litre will not get you much todayNot sure you have to do everything on the list. But with every new "fashion " the enthusiasts preach it is the only way.Maybe not yet, but you watch any of the regen stuff on you tube and none plough,
A few years ago FM spent thousands with Evolution Farming teaching us locally to get more out of grazed grass, that now looks like it was wrong !!But with every new "fashion " the enthusiasts preach it is the only way.
In the real world
Why is getting more from grazed grass wrong?A few years ago FM spent thousands with Evolution Farming teaching us locally to get more out of grazed grass, that now looks like it was wrong !!
I only hope this regen stuff which a lot of makes good sence , does not lead to big cuts in production unless there are big price rises to go with it.
@Beef farmer Getting more from grass is not wrong, but if you follow the Regen bible, lashing on lots of nitrogen to get it is .Why is getting more from grazed grass wrong?
Way I read it, it`s a list of actions. Are they defining it or just using a list of actions?
Genuinely regenerative is a journey, not a destination. Everyone's journey will be different.
That half pence they are going to give you was yours in the first placeMaybe not yet, but you watch any of the regen stuff on you tube and none plough, so it will be comming that's for sure. And 0.5p/litre will not get you much today
@upnortheast you supply direct to the consumer are they asking you about regenerative farming ?
Like most of these schemes it’s just a way of devaluing the actual product be it milk or beef or whatever and tying up a perceived “bonus” on some nonsense. At the end of the day the milk is worth the same regardless of regen or not. That half pence they are going to give you was yours in the first place
