FMC appoints new product manager for crop protection

Written by Michelle Martin from Agriland

FMC Agro Limited has appointed Hazel Blanshard as the company’s new product manager for crop protection.

Blanshard has a master’s degree in agriculture from Lancaster University, and has previously worked in the arable sector as a soil science research at the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB).

She has also worked as an agronomist in the southeast of the country.

“In my previous roles, I’ve been mostly based out in the field, so this position is an exciting step in a new direction for me,” said Blanshard.

I’ve used many FMC products in the past, so now as product manager I can bring my background knowledge and first-hand experience of the products to the fore when working on strategy and marketing.

“FMC has an extensive product pipeline and is continually growing, so I’m really looking forward to joining the team at such an exciting time for the company.”

Marketing and plant health lead (UK and Ireland), John Hutton, said that the company are “delighted” to have her join the existing team.

“Her agronomic knowledge and practical experience will be incredibly valuable in driving FMC’s product portfolio forwards at this exciting time,” he said.
