Folding 4 meter combi recommendations

I can remember what width it is as we had an Amazon in the same field once and it was definitely 5cm narrower.

5cm is nowt but when you get super picky folk running RTK it's a lot more of an issue
was the old Kuhn/Accord the same spacings as seedflex discs? it must have been surely still 24 coulters on 3m & 32 on a 4 just as current drils are ?
I like the look of the Horsch kr but the wheels being on the back concern me as you’ll run on your ins and outs surely unless you’ve plenty of overlap or can program in a delay to the feed rollers?View attachment 917776
I like the look of the lemken with the full width tyre Packer but if it’s wet enough to warrant a combi surely the wheels will act like an anchor in any wet spots. View attachment 917777

?

11ft shed door ways which cant be widened no way.
Roads fine with 3m kit on but deffo not 4 & more so coz of tourists than the locals
Caravans & Motorhomes up here holy cow 100's every week all at the times were busy
Its fun shifting the combine but needs some one to block junctions off totally.
Dont have that luxury when sowing iam afraid.

There's 2 been sold locally that I know of this year . Only thing puts me off the KR is the wide spacing

as per our previous conversation and your excellent info, you can indeed order a KR with 12.5cm spacing. Mine due in Feb

Front hoppers and traffic dont mix either
Neither did three rows of tines on front press here also so been off it last 4 yr.
Just manage away with twin sets of Guttler rollers upfront.
Hellish combi drilling with weights on mind after you used even the simplest of presses that take 50% of the counter weight off the front wheels when drilling.
id still have one even if i went to 4m one day it would just fold up. seen them & look fine too me. but you dont want vast tines or levelling boards far out in front of
whatever type of press roller setup imho. there more faf than there worth bothering with

Horsch kr 4 here with partner 2000 front hopper. About 1200 acres drill with it since I got it in January and very happy so far. It isn’t light, 14.5t on a LWB T7. Really like the front hopper and the ability to drill 2 products. Drilled into sumo’d, grubbed and ploughed ground, and equally good in each case. Cameras on the side of the hopper make getting out of fields easy..... humpback bridges are interesting! It’s not perfect but horsch are very good at sending out modifications.

I had a big front press with leading tines , but the tines were a waste of time, just slowed you down.
It was 4m folding, and needed every oounce of it to balance the drill

Sorry, unless I have mixed your message, I find it hard to believe you have been drilling in very difficult conditions with a PH Combi.
if you have too much front weight the wheelings are impossible to eradicate, placing a front press / tank spreads this weight and creates a balance on the tractor when you hit a bad spot just take a little weight off the front as you hit the bad spot , important before the draft kicks in, then as the draft lifts, the weight on the front is already there to make the balance.

Ive not had any issue drilling where have i once said that?
if land is too wet the drill isnt out the shed here.
The reason i use a PH Combi is heavy land over anything else
And the fact you darnt leave any land worked for even a few hours here at your peril coz it will get wet & then be like Cat SH1T
plus there only me & one part timer helping so job is timed with weather in mind
its ok folk saying oh you can drill 100ac in a day with a trailed high speed drill
i dont disagree with that but there is no way iam prepared to have ground worked ready for such a system & it gets half an inch of rain on it in the meantime.
I also follow some ploughing on the lighter stuff & stubble that ive heavy cultivated with sometimes no other machines on inbetween
the PH is the master of it all in my system.
33rd year of PH drilling here & wont be changing it anytime soon
PS apart from some winter oats ive got all my winter cropping in & its not looked this good since the record year of 2015
Not turned a wheel on the land since 2nd wk of oct mind. its too wet now.
