Shoot to kill is the only answer to the offenders caught in the act, and I seriously mean that BUT not a chance in hell of that order being given.

I could tell you something but then I'd have to ..

All I'll say is Artics were already being raided in London for cigarettes and booze whilst the trucks were in traffic .. HMG already thinking about hijacking.

If supermarkets wanted to avoid mass hoarding surely all they need do is put the shopping trolleys in storage, but I guess that would be not been in interest of the supermarkets. ;)

Even if shoppers could shop normally .. 25% of calory intake is provided by restaurants, hotels, pubs and the commercial sector. Having closed those outlets those people need food from elsewhere and they'll have to shop for far more than someone with existing stocks.

It would also mean customers visiting the shop more frequently, something which the government is keen to avoid.

All of you make fun of us Americans for having guns and such....just say the hoards really do come to the door one day?...will you still be poking fun then?...honest question.....because it gets closer with every breath due to people’s inability to cope without and stressful situations....I’m not poking or laughing by any means but it is something to honestly ask yourselves.

All the chickens coming home to roost ..

Kazakhstan, for instance, according to a report from Bloomberg, has banned exports of wheat flour, of which it is one of the world’s biggest sources, as well as restrictions on buckwheat and vegetables including onions, carrots and potatoes. Vietnam, the world’s third biggest rice exporter, has temporarily suspended rice export contracts. Russia, the world’s biggest wheat exporter, may also threaten to restrict exports, as it has done before, and the position of the US is in doubt given Donald Trump’s eagerness for a trade war in other commodities.

What a load of rubbish, I dont know of any country that has shut its food producers down, with lots of other industries being forced to close there will be lots of labour available and most countries will be past the worse by the time harvest arrives, all countries are going to need money they arent going to stop food supplies if it gives them cash,
Good old Bloomberg and guardian trying to start panic buying, anyone would think they are anti the UK government

Interesting to see now 4 months later how people have woken up to buying home produced food. Seems like there is significantly more support out there in middle England for farmers.
