Food shortages.

Pleased to report all shelves full in Sainsburys this morning and plenty of fresh fruit & veg. Lots of Wensleydale, and even the one with cranberries šŸ˜‹

Oh dear the one with Cranberries. Shame. Like Xmas when we get all these 'novelty' cheeses contaminated with various fruit and veg which folk (for which read my wife) get as 'something special for Xmas' that then spoils January and most of February as I have to clear out the fridge until SPring arrives and I can purchase 'unadulterated' cheese. Heavens last Xmas she even bought a Stilton which had some fruit mixed into it. I stood in the Kitchen and burst into tears.

Spot on @Hindsight :)

The Sun reporting ā€œfood shortages yesterdayā€ photo showing a half empty isle of water.

When you see the shear volume and different types of food in a supermarket, weā€™re a long, long way off going hungry!
It makes you wonder how much food actually doesnā€™t get eaten. Either bought and thrown out after reaching sell by date or cooked and not finished. Dumped by shops after reaching sell by or dumped by cafes and restuarants. I bet you could probably feed the UK twice over with what is produced and not consumed.

Subway sources it's ingredients from the EU.

So unsurprising that it will face problems given the handover period is at an end.

"Subway uses IPC Europe, a company owned by Subway, to source ingredients from the continent."
They better start looking closer to home then. I expect they have an 'environmental impact policy' as well. Screw them.

Loads of stuff missing in Sainsburys today. So we didn't notice the lack of produce in the fridge section, they filled it with slabs of lager, genius.

Appears they have no problem getting beans from Kenya though (y)
