Footbathing dry cows

Went to a lameness discussion today which suggested that we should be running dry cows through a footbathing 3 times per week. How? Does anyone have a good way of doing it without having to run cows through the parlour. I would like to find an easier way of doing it to ensure it gets done regularly.

Foot bathing is a waste of time in my opinion. Unless you change the solution every 10 cows, which isn’t practical.
Get biotin and zinc added into minerals. Worth every penny. Hardens the sole. Bugger all bruising/ puncture wounds.
Our cows walk a lot (NZ) so might be a different environment to yours. But harder hooves on concrete would be a benefit too?
Certainly changed the game for us in regards to incidents of lameness

I can footbath my dry cows by just opening the one gate,my footbath is located down the side of the parlour so I can hold about fifty cows before it.

If you far offs are on cubicles, shut all the gates on the crossovers. Open the gates to the yard and run them through a chute along the side of the building
