No, I thought they were on the infamous herbal leys:rolleyes:

The herbal leys are at Home Farm. Saint Pip managed the stock there last year and bought some of her own to graze there too. She loaned the money she made to Tobes for the gin business so she couldn't buy any this year.

She jibbed out of managing the other cattle there for Adam because she was busy earning money relief milking to pay Tony compensation after infecting his herd with IBR. (I think...) Did Ed Grundy get the job managing the herbal leys this time??

Yes he did. Although how that is going now since Ed fell out with Adam following the taking on of Johnny I don't recall.

Not the ones at Brookfield - they are the suckler herd of Herefords on grass.

The herbal leys are at Home Farm and grazed by bought in stores
Thanks, you two, for putting me right:notworthy::notworthy:
It's tricky to keep up when I only catch bits when I'm in and out of the truck/tractor all the time:rolleyes:

Listened again ( the first time I was on the Edinburgh City Bypass - so not listening over carefully) and Ruth calls Pip , - Pip then says " Are you at the paddocks?" Ruth says " Yes - lets get these COWS in " . Don't think the Herefords are paddock grazed.

So , more skitter from the Archers.

Thanks. Must listen more carefully in future.

I'm still unimpressed by the story line that had Bert and David conjure up a major extension to the parlour , that was so high tech it allowed one person ( ie diminutive cancer survivor Ruth) milk 200 cows by herself in jig time, yet could be installed by two amateurs , and at no discernible capital investment. Then all the extra cows had no impact on sheep numbers , Hereford numbers , potato enterprise, arable acres - and didn't even dissuade David from renting spare acres to the Grundy's .The extra cows were even moved onto an extensive NZ type grazing regime , that still needed the same acreage as before. All this at a time of depressed milk prices - just shows where the rest of us were going wrong.

Well now that Ian is confirmed a Jaffa, I suppose there is something useful that Toby could do, he might even be prepared to break sweat at it.
