I know its how long is a piece of string , but what sort of acreage would you like to be clearing on a 8 ton May !st cut on a 3 mile round trip on good roads with little traffic.

I’d take an initial stab at 4ac/hr . Access at field and pit is key , keep moving .

70 AC/day per wagon would be about where they would be here on that sort of crop.

depends on the wagon and size of row and how dry any where from 2 to 6 acres per hour

70 AC/day per wagon would be about where they would be here on that sort of crop.

Maybe with a very large wagon on a 200+hp tractor with a long day... but with a more typical farmers wagon and a farmers 150hp tractor it would be closer to 30-40 ac/day.

50cube wagon 200hp 1.5 acre a load
Maybe 2.5 -3 load a hour

Yes at 8t to the acre
Proper wagon grass at 4t is a lot less ball ache
Cut every 4 weeks

had 1 of them 2 weeks ago 31 loads off 24 acres

We did 4 acres an hour on first cut mid-June with a medium wagon but that was heavy crop and round trip average 1 mile. Slower but still cheaper than chopper and 4 trailers which do around 8/hour on our fields.

Place beside me cut some meadows this week, ( full of star grass & all sorts, 4 foot tall in places ) all grand till the 4 rotor rake arrived a rowed it.
Then the harvester arrived and I thought this will be fun, didn’t get 2 foot till it was in reverse, f**ked about for an hour then gave up with 1 load almost full and went home.

Was away cartin couple of weeks ago. 1 field was a new reseed the year before and the 30 foot sward was so high the spfh reel couldnt get over it when it went into the field. Brutal crop

Hard to beat the crop that's 6 inches from the floor and once through a 10 foot Moco is 15 inches high
