Can't believe we've had a full page of this without a fight
To be expected. I would have been annoyed with both operators for not talking to each other. We use a 9 foot mower and usually 3 into 1 which is a fairly big row but wagons easily manage it.Place beside me cut some meadows this week, ( full of star grass & all sorts, 4 foot tall in places ) all grand till the 4 rotor rake arrived a rowed it.
Then the harvester arrived and I thought this will be fun, didn’t get 2 foot till it was in reverse, fudgeed about for an hour then gave up with 1 load almost full and went home.
Oi, take that backCan't believe we've had a full page of this without a fight
Watch it you or.....Oi, take that back
A lot depends on the wilt , dry grass packs bigger loads and fillls quicker , reducing the number of loads , but in early may 4-5 acres per hour per wagon is possible.I know its how long is a piece of string , but what sort of acreage would you like to be clearing on a 8 ton May !st cut on a 3 mile round trip on good roads with little traffic.
