Err, your idea of good is not similar to mine! Ok for a working tractor I suppose.
Harsh. It is a working tractor. I’m still pleased we went down this route rather than bunging a new one on as at least it remains original so thanks for encouraging me down that road.

Probably is at that, but you used the word good, when plainly it is merely acceptable. I would not have left it like that, with a bit more work, it could have been much better. Regarding the originality I would have had it done at the local body shop, if only to remove the reminder I would receive every time I looked at the tractor. Remember, there is always the chance that home repairs such as that can make later professional repairs impossible.

Good is a word that is subjective (y)
I think my dad did a very good job.
And hey we are both happy.

I must admit to a major fault. In my world, perfection is only just good enough, that being the case, I am constantly disappointed in what ever I do! Sounds daft, I know, but it can lead to large piles of scrap, as every attempt to make something is never quite right!

And you drive a leyland?!?!:cautious::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::censored:;)(y)
A somewhat modified Leyland, but to be honest there is no better tractor for my needs, its not too heavy, has the best traction when the plough is on its land wheels when there is no weight transfer, which other tractors rely on.Quite often I keep going at matches when larger, modern tractors are spinning. Brakes were useless, so have been replaced with marshal 502 wet brakes. Hyd linkage is now controlled by a spool valve, this allows me to have constant pumping to operate the plough rams.

Well, It would not do for me either,BUT, I used to work as a profesional body builder many decades ago. I think He has done a GOOD job getting it back to a reasonable shape without all the proper tools and skills needed to make it perfect, It will be stretched and pulled joints and corners ect, will take a very good man to get the last bit(which is most of the work) back to shape. So I say well done(y)(y)(y)

Reminds me of my mother's efforts at bashing in the front of the Ford 3000. Was left as was for a few years, then we must of had a windfall, and dad got it repaired......
Looked ridiculous really. Shinny bit of metal hung on the front of a rust bucket.:D
