Ford 335

I’m new here and hoping for some help please. I have a Ford 335 (1984) which i have bought recently. I seem to have an oil leak from the handbrake housing unit? This is under the tractor on the right hand-side. Someone mentioned to me that it is likely to be a faulty seal in the gearbox driveshaft. If that’s right, which I don’t doubt, then my question is where is that? Do I remove the whole of the unit attached and access it from behind the handbrake discs? Hope someone can help. Many thanks

Looks like you'll need to remove the expander and discs to get the housing (no.11) off. Seal (no.12) is the likely culprit.Presumably fitted into the back of the housing.

Thank you. Suspected so but wanted to be sure. I’ll have a go tomorrow. On the housing of the unit (No 24) there is a something that looks like a cable screws into it. Not sure what that’s for. Suspected Tachometer but not sure. Thanks again
