Ford 7810 series III Dual power Solenoid location

Hi people,

back with another question, dual power stuck in low, and I have checked fuse which was blown and I replaced it and it appears to be all working ok at the switch now. (I have previously relocated the ground switch to the gear stick) . PTO also working fine, would that indicate its not a hydraulic pressure problem?

Just wondering where the solenoid for dual power is located and is it hard to get to? also how many wires are going to it and should I be expecting 12v going to solenoid while in high dual?

Off to shake out the hay now with the haybob,

tractor stuck in tortoise mode :meh:

Thanks for the reply Vincent, tractor has recently been split for a new clutch and I had trouble with the 4x4 wire not being properly connected.

Does the dual power wire pass through the loom on the way to the solenoid ?
Thanks for the info. (y)

Seems like its No.3 bulkhead connector, yellow wire colour

The solenoid is in through the side of the bell housing from the right hand side by the cab steps.....the resistance of the solenoid is 37.5 ohms

Got in under the tractor this evening but I cant seem to locate the solenoid. Is it on the side of the gear-leavers ? does the cab have to be lifted to get access? There are two fuel tanks either side of the gearbox which make access a bit tricky.

Had a look at the wiring loom but cant see anything loose, they are the round connectors.
Any more info would be a great help. (y)
