Just for the record, I’d spend my money on several other models of tractor before I chucked my money at a 7810. The value isn’t likely to go up any more and they’re not really all that good.

I’m in a grumpy mood, this morning. Sorry!
All right, I accept your apology, but don't let it happen again...

Value not going to go up any more ? Who knows. I was offered £3.5k for mine in 2007. For once I did the right thing and turned it down. It's trebled it's value in a decade. There are, however, an awful lot of them about. All with wide tyres, stainless straight pipe exhaust, twin beacons, twin CB twigs......
I'd go for something rarer, 8600/ 9600/ TW 10/15/20 etc. Even the 56/66/76/7700 seem rare now. Too many exported.

It's just my opinion... but I can't see them breaking in to the £20ks. They are too common.

I'd stay ahead of the curve - 40 series, TS etc. Catch the next wave rather than wait for the current one to go flat. Also, a 40 series / TS is a far nicer machine in every single way :)

I'd buy into the Marshall 100 range
That's a dead cert (y)(y)

Perhaps once the folk interested are past the point of buying that era of tractor then real values might just tail off. Unless the machine is very rare i cannot see them having the demand of a nice classic car. If you look at the value of some really old classic cars that were everyday to some they do not seem particularly valuable.

That's what I'm wondering.....will the pushy button generation be interested in collecting things with levers in years to come ?
Note how the market for " brown " furniture has fallen off a cliff in the last decade.

Fine if it keeps down the price of a late 8340 with a good set of boots, under 6k hrs, and immaculate paint. I'll buy the heap of sh1t to save anyone else the bother.
My 7840 will go above 4000 hours this spring:(....hoping the fact it's 2wd will add to rarity value though.:)
