Ford 7810

If I was looking for 6 cyl block, first I would contact Emmark to price up new and go from there could be less than you think.
Hit or miss with S/H I always think
What is problem with engine?

Yes I quite agree - i would sooner have a new one, but Emmark only showing 3 cylinder ones, No one else seems to have one and have said no new ones being made.?? The rest of the engine is good, just need the block as its been letting oil into the water, (someone said its meaning its gone porous? )

And as said above,MJ Robinson has a couple of 8210 engines still advertised as available. Maybe gone now though?
Have you the head of it yet on the off chance it's just a blown head gasket? Probably not that lucky but could be...

Was my thought regarding the gasket too.(post 9)
If it's not the gasket at fault, if the water hoses were blocked off and the block filled with water and an airline applied to the oilway to the head, bubbles should show in the waterways if it's gone porous...

Aye, but really need to find the root of problem , of where and how its getting oil from,
It is unusual for a 7810 to give bother, as its a thicker and stronger block, this tractor might of been boiled at some time, and could of done damage to the head, or head gasket, if the head then a fresh block won't cure it,
If it is the block, it will be the camshaft gallery, not the bores so boring it and fitting liners will not sort it,
As said above, fill block with water and airline in oil switch port, and look for bubbles,
will need to block off the oil feed to the head to seal it
I would not be looking to buy a fresh block, till you found the problem
