Ford 7840 transmission problem

Hi all, got a K reg white roof Ford 7840 SLE here with no drive. Symptoms are the shuttle crunches back and forth but there's no movement and nothing at all (gear wise) on the dashboard. Trying to get CAL up on the screen doesn't work. Any ideas? PTO works but linkage doesn't seem to. It's got 8000 hours on it.

Any error codes? There’s a fuse/ relay that works de clutch button? Could be chafing on that wire. Try the 40 series thread

Thanks, no error codes come up or anything gearbox related, will find the 40 series thread.

Check the switch on the clutch pedal, but you should get calibration up on the screen?
Unless you forgot a bit/sequence, U-Tube will go through it with you, again ..........

Pressure test the clutch packs first job .

Could it be the damper plate on the flywheel??
Could just be grabbing enough to turn the PTO with no load but no chance of moving her when in gear.
Is power steering working? would show that the pump is going
Shuttle button stuck in/wires shorted?
Does it throw CP code if you shove it in gear with no clutch pedal pressed?
Could be a few things really, diagnostic switch on and see that the sensors are reading and as above pressure test to see if the packs are getting oil.
Once heard of one that was sold off for peanuts because it wouldn't drive and all that was wrong was a slack fitting on the suction side which meant she wouldn't give pressure and nothing would work.
Check everything, every fuse all pipes, filters etc.

I assume this tractor does not have a dump button on the shuttle?

What position are your spool valve levers in ?
