Evening all

Just recently on cold start up 3rd and 4th or 7th and 8th do not engage properly. Stationary, an with the brakes off, you can feel the tractor just bite then drop drive. After about five minutes or so it will generally work OK. Oddly the delay, in the past when cold, was 2nd or 6th, but only momentarily. The accumulator was replaced not that long ago.

Thanks

Seen ep's post but not sure of an answer!
Thinking maybe a sticky solenoid that comes right when warmed up a bit. But then there would likely be an error code too...
Perhaps one for @forblue ?

I changed the accumulator at least 3 years ago as there tended to be a delay from 5th to 6th. It made no difference. The local indi ran a pressure check, which was fine at the time. The hydraulics are not particularly slow and the spool tips a trailer easily.

One local know all (😂) reckons I might have been too mean with the oil changes but it did have a full change a few years back and only does a 2-300 hrs per year. As a fully fledged Ford, it has naturally continuous flow type oil change program 🙄. The filters were changed earlier this year.
