Has anybody else had an error code 19 come up on the dash of an SLE causing drive to stop? This is what happened to our 7740 today.

Could be the dump valve. No fuses blown and the wiring is fine. Pressure testing suggests an internal leak requiring surgery, by our main dealer.

Apparently, the spool pressure is fine till you put it in gear, when it drops away. Therefore meaning a severe leak somewhere inside the gearbox.

Suppose I mustn’t grumble too much as it is 22 years old with 10k hours

Seeing as my last pic has got a few likes here's my other 7840.
This one has had to work very hard the last few days pulling 14ton silage trailer.

My favourite tractor I've ever had, 14000hrs on her now,.
Its always been a good one, no turbo and it absolutely wipes the floor with father in laws 6430 JD which should be 25-30hp on mine.;);)
Be a sad day here if this one has to go.

So which were considered the better tractor blue or white roofs? Or does that question set the cat among the pigeons?
Interesting question. Obviously improvements were made over time. The clutch button that turned the forward/reverse lever into a shuttle for instance. But one of the best improvements was when they stopped attaching the mirrors to the door glass and put them on a separate frame attached to the A pillar.

Right from day one were the brilliant power-star engines.

Having both here, there isn't much in it.

The blue roof ones were the second half of production and the had the niggles ironed out and modified by the end.
As said mirror mounting, plastic mudguards, different front axle, gear linkages, link arm stabilisers, dual power properly sorted, stuff like that.

Our two are like chalk and cheese engine wise though, the blue roof will lug away at low revs but kind of feels sluggish against the older one which is much more free reving but ultimately won't pull as well. Don't know if it's an individual tractor thing or if they were tuned up different in the later ones.

Having a problem today with Error code E46 and blowing fuse 12. Seems to happen as I let the clutch up after I put her into reverse on the headlands. Not every time but was getting worse as the day went on
Once blown she will only move in 1st and 5th gear and the 3 point linkage will only work on the quadrant rather that the Orange switch.
Anybody an ideas what is causing the short?
