I have an 08 one. The only repair on it has been an air con compressor. Only other expense is tyres and servicing. It will have to last me a few more years. Have been very happy with it the new model is huge I'm not so keen on them at least mine will fit in a supermarket car park.

We have a 2008 3.0 tdci with 260 000 kms. Just replaced the fuel rail and injectors. Would I buy another - most definitely. Pulls really well and not too bad on fuel, depends who is driving

We had a 10 plate 2.5 which we ran for 2 years from 3 to 5 year old. Bought at 70k miles sold at 97k miles.

Totally and boringly reliable in that time.

However a friend who has a 10 plate ranger 2.5 on 122k has just had to have a new cylinder head as his cracked.

We are in our second one, first was 08 and auto (I didn't like the auto) so we traded it in a 2011 (don't like the newer shape ones)
and pretty happy with them... especially after the landcruiser, it drives like a car
Hear plenty of rumours of failures but they're the most common ute on the roads over here now, there's always bad-uns with any model
