what can be done for the little mite . It got a repair kit for the steering box but hasn’t helped. Is there anything else you can do ?

What is the problem, heavy steering?

Jack it up and have a wee look to see if the kink pins (swivel pins) are free to move.
If you can get grease in make sure it comes out the bottom of the axle.
If not fill the grease gun with oil and pump that in.

Check front tyres for air ..............

Where, king pins? Track rod ends? Or steering box itself

Sorry the steering box. Can spin the steering wheel considerably without a catch and the wheels slap about . Seems to be internal to steering box to me . I’m no mechanic. Friend doing work

Yes if you can move the wheel and the links dont move, its in the steering box.
Seem to remember there is an adjuster on the side of the box (with a lock nut) to control the amount the teeth are in mesh?
