Well you’ve done well to avoid the usual 20th century results that google brings up immediately. Your comment about being ketogenic amused me earlier in the thread, as the majority of people on keto are actually eating more fat than they were before and losing weight as a result. Going back in time as you’ve looked at, humans used to value the fatty organs/bits of meat more highly than the lean bits of meat.Note I have made no comment about hi fat diets
My interest is cycling, training my body to unilise body fat so I don't need to carry pocket fulls of food with me , the fat one is interesting, It don't seem to trigger insulin so you can lose weight on a high fat diet , I'm just reading this so excuse me if it's completely wrong , my personal view is that high fat diets can be dangerous to your health , mine especially, family history ,
Anyway, no matter, what you’ve described as your diet previously is low carb and no processed crap so you‘re avoiding the bad stuff from the sound of things. It’s your particular take to avoid saturated fat, your choice, not worth arguing over. Sounds like you’re avoiding industrial seed oils too as much as possible so that’s the real benefit. Of coirse, losing weight and eating to look after your heart and health aren’t necessarily the same thing. The venn diagram circles can merge but often don’t.
