Brewdog is kind of a weird company (and one that I exercise my small amount of power as a consumer against).
It likes to portray itself as a modern, right-on, Wokey sort of business but it has had failings in so many areas over the years. Employees have said it has a ‘toxic culture’ and ‘culture of fear’. I suppose the veneer of environmentalism etc plays well to the unknowing urban majority, but the reality can be very different (ie the nearly dead ‘forest’).
Should be made to replant properly at their own expense - not via further greenwash fundraising!
It’s got nothing to do with the public. They are hoping to go public on the FTSE, so trying to get an ESG score and get in to ESG funds. It’s basically the model Rishi has laid out for Uk to get carbon negative.I've said for some time that now there is serious money in the whole 'green' sphere that bad actors will start to move in on it purely as a money making ploy. Create a scam that purports to be 'saving the planet', and clean up. Big business is definitely using green washing just to polish its public image. The reality of what they are doing on the ground is irrelevant. As long as they've convinced the public they are 'doing good' then they are, from their perspective. And the public buy it, because it makes them feel better. 'Yes I am flying thousands of miles just to go on holiday, but the airline do offsetting so thats OK then' Its the perfect scam really, the scammer gets to make money, and the scammee gets to feel good about being scammed. Everybody wins!
Except the planet, that's if the planet needs saving and if we are the main problem .I've said for some time that now there is serious money in the whole 'green' sphere that bad actors will start to move in on it purely as a money making ploy. Couldn't happen to a nicer coupleThe whole carbon scam is unraveling. Can come quick enough
Scotgov dumped their net zero commitment yesterday
Greens are divorcing the snp today
I was hoping for an O.K Corral type shoot outCouldn't happen to a nicer couple
It’s unravelling but those in charge are doubling down on it in response, thinking if they just try really really really hard then they might make progress. Deluded, the lot of them. The whole carbon scam is unraveling. Can come quick enough

I believe the Welsh Assembly want to gain all sorts of data from farming with their sustainable farming scheme. And as Kier said, Wales is the blueprint for what we will do in England!Except the planet, that's if the planet needs saving and if we are the main problem .
I wonder how long the government will take to say all the sfi payments on bird food plots, corners, scrub areas and hedges have to have a carbon calculation done and the government will then use that carbon sequestration to offset its carbon footprint?
Well, at least as far as I am aware Brewdog don't think their customers are red neck bigots who they would rather do without! Is Brewdog worse than the multi-national brew corps that churn out most beer? E.g. Budweiser
I don't know.
But I don't think Brew Dog's beer is anything special, and will continue to stick to local ale. Trees or no trees.
More likely a bit bitch slappingI was hoping for an O.K Corral type shoot out
