Situation Vacant Forestry harvester driver (Biomass) - Thetford Forest

Suffolk Woodchips Ltd are looking for a tree harvester operator to fell small diameter trees for our wood chipping operation producing wood chips for energy, equine and horticultural markets. We are based at Brandon in the centre of the 47000 acres of Thetford Forest (Norfolk) and due to ongoing contracts can offer all year round work and regular working hours.
We are a small but friendly team looking for someone who can operate, service and maintain machinery (training will be given). Forestry experience is an advantage but isn't a necessity, although a willingness to learn and take advice/instruction (we want to help you to progress) and to put in a good days work is. It isn't hard work but attention to detail and pride in your/our work is required. The ability to operate a 360 digger would be helpful but not prohibitive.
I started in this line of work from a farming background with (no forestry experience) over 25 years ago and have never looked back -- maybe now it could be your turn.
If the above is of interest to you, please give us a call on 01842 813555 and ask to speak to Mike Farrow or Mike Edwards about the role.
We don't have a website but you can find us on facebook.
We look forward to hearing from you.

No agencies please
