Just had to listern to the speech’s of the MPs who left their parties.I just can’t get my head round the fact they gave us a vote and it was leave EU.Yes I voted leave but I also respect those who voted remain. But and here’s the But why can’t they all stand together and get us the best deal whether it’s in or out .All that is happening is they are making us all look fools in the eyes of EU.How they must be laughing and enjoying turning the thumb screws on us.In the future if the public get a vote and those who shout loudest can delay or overturn the vote where will it all end.I ofton get a rebuff on my comments freedom of speech. As it says don’t dish it out if you can’t take it.As for Brexit I now don’t care, yes ok let’s have another vote ,let’s have best of three. What must the rest of the world think of the mess.

Yes, there’s a poster that likes to be smart and use French phrases that seems to be winding everyone up. The posts seem intelligent but I feel are actually designed to stir up trouble, it is unfortuanate that admin doesn’t punt them into the politics section.
Ah , but sometimes trying to act "intelligent" just makes you look......

stupid!!! :rolleyes::banghead::LOL:

It's a highly divisive subject, with highly polarised views. There's plenty of passion in threads on hunting, ISIL brides etc too. The Scottish independence referendum was also highly divisive, with both sides resorting to personal threats in extreme cases. The EU psyche is deeply imbedded in everyone on both sides. It is also a high stakes game in most people's minds. Corrupt and bankrupt Brussels vs sovereignty. EU ag support and protection vs Gove's tree hugging vision of the "free market" and rewilding.

Let me be clear - posters on both sides of the debate behave in the same way, so I see no distinction. I steer clear of the shouty threads but have contributed to a few until they become entrenched and abusive.

I'd steer clear of subjects like Brexit if you don't want to see the darker side of human nature. You have a choice - you can ghoulishly watch these threads or you can click away to something else. Or just turn the computer/device off.
Sometimes the shouty:abusive threads need a calm reply, the voice of reason, to show the others up for what they are.

I think the same could be said of bost sides so pointing the figure is not a good way to build bridges is it
I think the debate the country is having is the best thing that ever happened to us .
Everyone is learning about politics from the young to the very old
That has to be a good thing whichever side you support
I agree Derrick! We have allowed politicians a fair clear run these last 40 years or so that despite several elections along the way. Folk are more engaged now from all quarters and that’s a good thing. Perhaps we can get away from the age old 2 party politics and have some fresh input and modern political thinking. Pipe dream???

But as others say , you dont have to reply.
Some seem obliged to make a derogatory comment about the author as if this gives , a reasoned reply.
I appreciate that on other forums there is a lot of abuse from both sides, emanati ng mainly from juveniles or extremists, however surely we can rise above this.
In the future we will have to live together, work together, hopefully have a few beers together.;)
I did think that

TBF to the OP it was a topic that was broader than Brexit and Community Feedback doesn't have such a wide readership

@Exfarmer , your neighbour is moving you over to CM, I hope you don't mind :)

This was the point of my post really. If the poster I referred to with the divisive posts that rub people up the wrong way were in the correct section of the forum perhaps it wouldn’t wind so many up.
