Forward speed when spreading fertilizer

Assuming good conditions (calm) and smooth straight tramlines, what is the forward speed that most are comfortable with when spreading fertilizer?

Kuhn 30.1 here and was working at 18-19kph yesterday (didn’t realise until I looked at dash). Auto rate control so should I be ok?

When tray testing a Kuhn 40.1 at 125kgs/hec at 10k you got a level test if you left the drop point the same but doubled the rate you got a bad test so I'd say that depending on the rate you're putting on forward speed will possibly have a fair variation on spread pattern

I presume the manual for the spreader would define a hard limit in terms of maximum application rate vs forward speed as the shutters can only supply the discs with enough material up to a point, although I know in other countries they do put hell of a rate of stuff on and at speeds we would never dream of.

12kmph plenty fast enough here (small fields), gives you a bit of time to think about the world going round. :)

Given ground conditions currently, the faster the better. At least that way you’ll have a chance of wellying out the other side of the wet spot.?
