It is sad to read of the accidental shooting of a child's pony, but no excuse for the veiled suggestion that everyone who controls a serious predator of livestock is a "clown". It seems that after the event, the shooter did everything he should have done.

Is everyone who drives a car and has an accident, also a clown? Accidents are not intended -- but they happen. That's why they are called accidents. Farmer basher jumping on the band wagon again? It is only a news item because accidents like this are so rare.
