With a rising number of cases, France may be added to the quarantine list. Over 1 for the R rate now in the Nouvelle Aquitaine.

Most of the holidaymakers are french .

Dead as a doorknob here this season. I would say a quarter of the normal camper vans on the road. Normally see a lot of Dutch, Belgium and German cars/vans but none this year.
I did see one day at the weekend had only a few hundred cases - maybe a clerical catch up?

Daughter back to Blighty today - she’s dreading it (actually I wonder if she’ll leave) and her daughter will now have to miss the first couple of days back at school (although my daughter is not happy about sending her to school at all - due to other parents addiction to their social lives)

So your daughter who has been to a country that currently has far more cases than the uk is worried about her daughter mixing with people who are in the local pub, I think that is classed as ironic, and typifies the attitude of people , no one thinks they are at risk of spreading it by their actions but think everyone else is by theirs.

How many people do you estimate she has been in close contact with then?
Pointing out, she is even going on the Chunnel rather than the more convenient (from here) ferry to avoid people.

I actually class it not as ironic but as a sensible precaution. Of course, if we were over in the alps down the local bar every day, it would be different but then...
She wouldn’t of joined us

Only takes contact with one infected person, after that is how it all started, of course the risk she has taken is very low but so is going to the pub IF distance is observed, but everybody is blaming the others for spreading it,

One, is one more than she met, as opposed to her daughter going into a “bubble” of 52 with half of those 104 parents meeting up plenty of nights.
I agree with here where the risk is minimal. I don’t think you can realise how quiet it is here

I can't see schools lasting long before they're shut down , a French doctor was doubting the wisdom this morning

Both , there's been some cases at a scottish school this week

Plenty of suspected and confirmed cases at schools in Scotland. Still getting told that Transmission isn’t at school though, as child:child transfer is very unlikely. Poor sods of teachers though - how do you socially distance from a kid whilst you’re doing 1:1 long division?

I know for sure one case in a English school and the Unions will kick off big time .
