Satellite imagery is a useful tool in many a farmer's precision toolbox, used for identifying soil and crop variation and creating variable nitrogen applications. With our high resolution satellite scans we can produce Soil Brightness, NDVI and Chlorophyll imagery which can be loaded directly onto a smartphone or tablet (either through Google Earth or our own SeeCrop app) to be used in the field. We are currently offering all UK farmers one free sample image for a selected field. Our farmers use this imagery to identify areas of soil variation, monitor crop establishment, weed emergence and pest/disease damage, as well as apply nitrogen variably. Our precision farming software, the Rhiza Toolbox, allows users to create their own variable nitrogen plans exactly how they wish, applying the right amount of nitrogen in the right place as the crop requires. Used in conjunction with our SeeCrop app, users can monitor fields and map observations whilst crop walking, and then share this information between all farm staff and advisors. The latest scan from the 13th of February can be seen below and we'll update the thread with scans as they come through. To receive a free satellite image: 1. Go to Google Maps - www.google.co.uk/maps 2. Use the ‘Search’ function to locate your chosen field (you may need to click on the ‘Earth’ icon in the bottom left corner) 3. Right click in the field and select ‘What’s here?’ 4. Copy the coordinates shown in the top left box and send them through to us.
