Free Range Layer House, Opinions?

Good Evening,

Long time viewer, first time poster, so apologies for the long post....

Currently I am investigating the feasibility of establishing a free range layer flock, at present I am thinking in the region of 2k to 3k birds, I know not a massive scale. this is not something that I am rushing into, but currently going through my figures. Organic production could be an option. I also work off farm in a full time role, and farm operated on a part time basis. Labour would not be an issue. On the supplier side of it I have put a couple of feeders out and have had no negative reaction to date.

At the moment I am researching houses. Has anybody expierence/opinions with any of the mobile houses? Either Haygrove or McGregor, or others I may not be aware off? could they be an option on an exposed site?? What is the build quality like?

Or am I MAD !!

Again apologies for the long winded post, if anyone wants to contact me through pm please do so.

Thanks,

Mac

Ya if you could I'd be delighted to hear what the performance was like with houses? Also if he had any difficulty with them in bad weather, that seems to be my biggest hang up on the mobile house. Whether it would be able to deal with adverse weather!!
