As part of our intelligent precision farming service we now deliver 5m2 resolution satellite imagery (the highest available to UK farmers) for 12 months of the year.

From our satellite data we are able to produce high resolution Soil Brightness, ground cover, NDVI and chlorophyll imagery which can be loaded directly onto a smartphone or tablet to be used in the field.

We are currently offering all UK farmers one free sample image for a selected field.

So far farmers have been using this imagery to identify areas of soil variation, monitor crop establishment, weed emergence and pest/disease damage, as well as apply nitrogen variably.

What are people's experiences of using satellite imagery and has anyone got any other uses for it?

Interested but don't follow your lingo
So that I can process your image I need to know which field you are interested in.
If you have Google Earth you can drop a push pin in the field and label it the field name. The place mark will then appear under "Places" on the left, right-click on it and "select save place as". This will give you the option to save as a .kmz file which you can then send me.
Alternatively, if you do not have Google Earth go to www.google.co.uk/maps/, right-click in your selected field and select "What's here?". This will then give you map coordinates which you can send me.

Free satellite imagery processed for four fields so far today!

It appears you cannot send .kmz files through The Farming Forum so anyone else interested in a free image please send your field coordinates using the instructions below:

Go to www.google.co.uk/maps/, right-click in your selected field and select "What's here?" This will give you map coordinates which you can send me.

Here's a selection of free imagery processed this spring. If you're interested in a free satellite image for one of your fields, you've got two days left to get in touch.

Offer ends 30th April.

I didn't even ask for any but got a hole lot sent to me. Very good detail. Even shows up where we drilled around 10mx10m badger set.
Can you do VR N with out using your "tool box" . I have Farmade Gatekeeper already working well. Having to pay more for your Tool box is a little prohibitive.

Satellite imagery is loaded directly to the Toolbox where you can use it to create your VRA N plans. Without the Toolbox you would have to view the imagery in Google Earth then manually create the plans.

The cost of the Toolbox includes 12 months satellite imagery as well as unlimited VRA fert and seed plans. You can run it alongside Gatekeeper by creating your VRA plans on the Toolbox then using the export function to record applications back to Gatekeeper.
