I am looking to raise some panels on frames about 8 feet off the ground at the lowest point , can anyone point me to suppliers , at least ones who are priced, we needs to go over some containers
just looking to get rough prices on a scheme before we head to the planners.
This is just for a 20-30kw scheme for a friend

Pretty well Trade stuff only. VERY pushy Chinese reps on the whole, which I guess is there job.

TBH, it was only the 1/2 doz good conversations that made it worth the effort.
The lighting and general environment was horrid/ Won't go again.
Steve thanks for the report , you have pushed me to go. I went 5 years ago and really should do it more often.
I would take my EV but suspect all chargers will be busy :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I hope the day is successful for you, as it's a trek from your place. Just remember to take a sandwich with you. I pop to Morrisons and grab a meal deal, or make up one, the night before. Coffee is available from trade stands if wanted.....or needed!

Cannot believe the NEC premium prices for food! Even Wetherspoons, normally the home of cheap and cheerful was 17 quid for Fish and Chips, not 11 quid and a beer. Mind the Bike Show was probably worse 2 years ago.

Thanks for the warning, luckily never feel the need to eat when travelling. Wondered how they do those free tickets , you always pay somewhere. Must put on my best gullible punter and try and scrounge a couple of coffees :ROFLMAO:

Charging the Standholder's, an Arm and Leg I assume.

I remember chatting 2 years ago at the Saltex show (Grounds Maintenance), to a lady on one stand and the cost to do the Show was scary. I did put an Order in soon though, after and got their Show discount* ;)

*Yes it was worth having too!

I got lost in B’ham some years ago and ended up driving around an industrial site full of engineering companies.
I wonder if they are still there as this was the heart if British manufacturing.
IMO this would be the place to look for a pipe-bending type of engineering shop.
As ever to go there from here on the East side of the UK isn’t easy.

Well, the A14 is not bad, IF you are anywhere near it I guess. Son is based at Cottesmore and he finds the run back to Shropshire, less than wonderful, a very meandering trip.

I do enjoy an W to E cross country trip on the bike, IF I have all day to get there... :)

Thanks so much for giving me a push, it really is a proper show now and learnt a lot. Not sure if the Guys flogging supports for car parks live in the real world thing the designers of one at least read the brief as parking on top . There would be enough steel in one of those car parks to build the Sydney harbour bridge :ROFLMAO:
Shame as cost is going to put off a lot of schemes if that is what engineers decree is safe
I did speak to a great Chinese guy who offered to supply a much cheaper design but would not be really sure I want to import what is basically a shed frame with its attendent tax and customs implications
Next year must meet up there, better still meet up elsewhere and take just one car, I thought it was a good deal free tickets , £18.95 for parking:mad:

I'm delighted it was a useful day, as you invested a lot of time into the vist. 19 quid for parking really is taking the pee these days though! :(

I have to say from chatting with these type of Chinese company guys before now, they do have a very "we can do it" mentality.

If I go to a show I prefer to go by train.
If I have to go th B'ham it's into London and out again which, although doable, and coz I've done the London-B'ham route many times, is costly from EA, although now I have my 'over 60's' rail card makes rail travel rather less expensive.

I suspect all the convenient to Brum train stations with car parking, would be full of commuters by the time you get there... This works well. Around here, our local train station has free parking and lost commute into the West Midlands and beyond.
Free parking, Whatever is that, would not shout too much someone has obviously forgot.
Not much chance of going by train, local station is 4 hours away
