Not surprising but it is a pity that sport is to suffer. Some remember the years when Russia used sport and sports people as a political tool and still would today if ruling bodies allowed them.

I agree Bob , but Russia have declared war on a neighbour . seems sport and gas are more important to the Euros .

Over the years Russia has trashed world sport in an attempt to fuel its propoganda machine. No respect is shown to those it has used and abused.

I have tried but the wife only runs the hot tap even when only cold water comes out. She washes all the plastic for recycling in hot water as soon as it appears. No training is possible without danger of divorce.

That's a bit like saying should everyone who had a drink during covid resign because boris should go.
High profile rich russians have had their assets frozen despite some coming out against the war, these rich players are high profile they need to set an example, if they condemn the invasion then fair enough let them play. Very different to a simple citizen

If you'd read the link, they'd condemned the invasion . Russian Tennis teams are banned. Rightly.
If you ban an individual sportsman shouldn't you ban a barista / builder? What's the difference?
These are players not Oligarchs that stripped Russia and are in Putin's pocket.

What about all the other sportsmen from awful regimes? Haven't banned the Chinese yet!
