Also i don't really get why the BBC focus on these parties like the FN , they did a thing at lunch time yesterday about the AFD, who gives a sh!t about them ?

Like the rest of the press they are talking them up for drama and possible upset then seem disappointed when it doesn't happen.

Is he abolishing MSA ?

It is widely accepted on rallying circles that the MSA would like to finish British forest rallying but in this day and age it isn't deemed acceptable to have competing cars killing spectators. So I can see the MSA are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I can't really imagine the French president will be particularly interested in UK motor sport and even if he is, will he have much influence over the motor sport association?

Here are the five points, for Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron , which summarize their agricultural program.

Marine Le Pen, the patriot
The candidate of the National Front wants to leave the European Union and focuses its program on agricultural patriotism.

  • Leaving the present European Union and applying economic patriotism to French agricultural products, notably through public order;
  • Transforming the Pac into French Agricultural Policy (Paf) and guaranteeing the amount of subsidies whose criteria will be set by France, with the aim of supporting the French model of family farms;
  • Set, after two years, minimum prices guaranteed by the State, produced by product, after negotiations with trade unions, so that farmers can live off their agriculture and not aid;
  • Break with the economic model based on the wild globalization of trade and social, sanitary and environmental dumping, defending a true ecology of producing and consuming as closely as possible and reprocessing on the spot, and prohibiting the import of agricultural and food products Which do not comply with French production standards;
  • Make animal welfare a national priority: to protect the welfare of animals by prohibiting slaughter without prior stunning.
Emmanuel Macron, the centrist
Emmanuel Macron exposes a rather centrist program, combining investments and defense of a more respectful agriculture.

  • Undertake a 5-year € 5 billion agricultural transformation investment plan. Financing will be reserved for projects to modernize farms with a positive impact on the environment and animal welfare, and to projects for transformation favoring short circuits;
  • Organize a Food Grenelle with representatives of farmers, processors, retailers and consumers, in order to define a balanced sharing of value;
  • Reform PAC through the implementation of regulatory tools adapted to each sector, in particular a reinforcement of coupled aid and the implementation of countercyclical aid, and effective and adapted risk management tools;
  • To support the installation of young farmers by proposing a loan of honor to the person without a guarantee request in the amount of € 50,000 maximum with a deferred period of two years;
  • To compensate farmers for the environmental services they render, up to € 200 million per year, under the CAP, with a reinforcement of the resources allocated to the CMEAs

do they do door knocking in France? grassroots ground game usually helps established parties

No idea, like any rural location it's rare to see anyone let alone a politico. The thing that impressed me was how they manage to give us an accurate provisional result about a minute after the polls closed. Very clever.

they do the same here, they ask people outside the bell weather polling areas who they decided to vote for, tally them all up and then work it out against the previous elections results and come up with what the swing to who might be
