i just copied it from Wikipedia.

In 1981 I was in Zimbabwe walking down a street in Harare (independence had only just happened) whistling the tune, blissfully unaware of its use in the Smith regime and I was very nearly mugged by a group of black Zimbabweans
The tune is wonderful, it is what it represents in terms of human repression and misery and the terrible people that have used it as an anthem in the past.

It certainly would not be my choice of anthem with that in mind.

The problem is most pieces of classical music can have some political connotation connected to them from something or other. If you end up taking all these into account you end up we some boring dirge. A bit like the euro note with a selection bland European architectural features on them.:banghead:

Climate Change is all about taxing the public for use of Carbon.

The Elite and Establishment will not have to pay those taxes.

Without Carbon usage there is no need for Climate Change taxes ... ergo Carbon usage will not be discouraged.

If Carbon Usage was a "thing" then everything would be being done to reduce Carbon usage by having quotas and mediation measures such as planting new green areas and reinvigourating deserts.

Climate Change is a con.

These things are happening and have been happening for years. Promoting the cause of denial is what the so called elites want you to do. :scratchhead:

I'm not knowledgeable enough to debate climate change but I think we can all agree there is only an infinite supply of fossil fuel on this planet.

If France or someone else can discover a better energy source for planes etc then they're on the money imo. In the meantime it's good pr if you believe in climate change

I just had the grave misfortune of watching Mr Macrons inauguration on the tv screen whilst on the gym treadmill, he has obviously graduated from the Tony Blair school of smarm and insincerity!! The French had the opportunity to get rid of the EU elitists and their horrific plans to turn Europe into Canada with more help from George Soros:whistle:, but yet again they have allowed themselves to be suckered by another silver tongued charmer:banghead:................when the candidate has the words Rothschild and banker attached to them you should be running hard in the opposite direction!!

Hopefully both Madame Le Penn and Mr Melechons supporters will insure high elected numbers of opposition MPs in the French Parliament to make it nigh impossible for the Globalists agenda to gain anymore ground.

Ok.

So where are they then ? There are no quotas. There are no restrictions on burning fuels at all. Zero, none, nada, nothing.

You don't go to the petrol pumps with a ration card ... we haven#t reached "peak oil" and desertification is increasing not decreasing.

The Elites want as much of your money as possible in their pockets ... what happens to your life is immaterial.

Do you know EU staff don't pay VAT ?

One further point.

I watched a small program discussing what happened to the human population during the last Ice Age ... you know the time during which we didn't have "Climate Change" because of having "too much Carbon".

The Ice age reduced moisture to such an extent that the centre of Africa became a desert and uninhabitable. This led to mass plant, insect and animal deaths. To the extent that the human population was reduced to a few hundred breeding pairs.

In the historical context of the Earth, we have only just come out of the previous Ice Age - which almost wiped life off the land. And here we are a bunch of "Environmentalists" trying to stop the planet getting warmer. Never mind the fact plant & animal life was far more abundant during periods of much higher Carbon Dioxide on the planet.

"Denial" ... more like common sense.

It's fortunate that the vast majority of the worlds leaders do see the need to address the risks of climate change and are prepared to do something about it, and our opinions on it aren't actually worth a sh!t.

From what i have seen Macron is very unlikely to get a majority of MP's, a lot were reluctant Macron voters voting against Le Pen. Since all 4 parties, the far left, republicans, NF and macron got around 20% of the vote share (within a few % points) in the first round, and in the second record amounts abstained from voting (25%) and a record amount cued up to spoil their ballot (nearly half the amount that voted for Le Pen) anyone that thinks the French result was vindication of the status quo hasnt got their head screwed on.

Don't ask me about the right way of achieving these things, all I know is climate change is happening like it or not. It maybe the fact we can do FA about it and the human race will eventually die out (although my money is on a virus getting us first) But something as simple rising Co2 will eventually raise temperatures to levels where most of the crops and grasses we currently grow will struggle to prosper.

I am sure planet earth laughs at us with our own sence of self importance in the scheme of things.

I'm sitting here shaking my head.

There is no way the human race will die out due to too much CO2. The Earth has had far more CO2 in the atmosphere for 100s of millions of years, during which we had the dinosaurs and very large plant life. CO2 promotes plant life.

However each Ice Age has been progressively worse with the last one almost killing humans off. CO2 reached around 200ppm at that point.

Don't you realise the whole narrative around CO2 is just Propaganda ? Water vapour in clouds is 100x a more effective Climate Change gas. You can quite easily tell this because when a cloud goes over the sun you immediately feel the consequences.

CO2 is relatively meaningless.

Wow. It's the clouds that are causing all this chaos in the planets climate. Why on earth didn't any of those libtard PhD types spot that before now. Don't you think they should get back to basics and look at clouds from both sides.

For balance

https://skepticalscience.com/water-vapor-greenhouse-gas.htm

and

https://skepticalscience.com/co2-higher-in-past.htm

So you say this is balanced ?

Have a read of your article ... is it scientific ?

Let's have a look ... does it mention ANYTHING about heat being reflected back into the troposphere from clouds ?

No, it doesn't. It's just a propaganda website putting forward ONLY an argument for increased heating via a "positive feedback loop". Sorry but that is just not correct, it's biased, factually incorrect and quite frankly FAKE.

https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/Clouds/

Anyway, here's the obvious bit about clouds ... obvious because if you have ever seen pictures from above the cloud they are bright like as though they are "REFLECTING" light and therefore heat.

"The study of clouds, where they occur, and their characteristics, play a key role in the understanding of climate change. Low, thick clouds primarily reflect solar radiation and cool the surface of the Earth. High, thin clouds primarily transmit incoming solar radiation; at the same time, they trap some of the outgoing infrared radiation emitted by the Earth and radiate it back downward, thereby warming the surface of the Earth. Whether a given cloud will heat or cool the surface depends on several factors, including the cloud's altitude, its size, and the make-up of the particles that form the cloud. The balance between the cooling and warming actions of clouds is very close although, overall, averaging the effects of all the clouds around the globe, cooling predominates."

I like this bit from the NASA article:

"The Earth's climate system constantly adjusts in a way that tends toward maintaining a balance between the energy that reaches the Earth from the sun and the energy that goes from Earth back out to space."

Which is pretty obvious, becaues if there was a feedback loop as your fake website suggests then the planet would have been cooked many times during all the natural disasters the Earth has been through.

Now why are clouds formed ? What is the reason clouds are formed ? What is the end result of a cloud ? They are created by water vapour leaving the surface, cooling and then falling back to the ground as rain. In essence what is the net effect of this operation ? To cool.

Clouds and rain/snow are cooling in operation. Energy is moving from the surface further up the atmospshere before being emitted back out into space as Thermal radiation.

Now I suggest you have a good long think how you have been conned into thinking in a totally unsceintific way. You don't need that fake wesbite to understand the environment around you.
