Frit fly are quite problematic this year - especially after spring oats. The adults could be seen climbing the walls of the grain store post harvest - a little like CSFB or bruchid beetle. Not a lot you can do about it. Seems worse where min till practised compared to plough or where volunteers were left and only controlled just prior to drilling. The longer the time frame in the absence of volunteers the better.

That's me, min till and spray off a few days before drilling. luckily all the oats were on strong land that as of yet seems ok . screwed up my idea of ww/ oat cover crop /sp wheat.

I've sprayed off all cover crops this week as I don't want cover for the flies all winter
