From another thread. Maybe you need 3 Lely robots to milk the same number of cows as 2 Delavals
The guys with the red robots always seem more relaxed and content with their decision to go that colour. See who offers you the most for your 2nd hand delaval's.Hey guys! I have a question for you guys. Have any of you guys changed from Lely robots to Delavals?
I am currently working on a dairy farm with two Classic delaval robots from 2009 and we are thinking about replacing them with two Delaval V300 or change brand and try two Lely A5's. I have searched the internet and people often change from blue to red, i have yet to find someone who has done the opposite.
How long have you had a Lely A5I suppose I am bias to lely as they have been at for so long now and sold their grass division to concentrate on robotics but I was very impressed with the A5
Oh this should be good. How long have you had a Lely A5
I doubt you have one at all.
You have to live with them really to know......
Want my advice??

I’m bubbling with anticipation! This thread has the potential to turn 2020 around on it's own!
can I suggest that you start a new thread with this, more likely to get replies that wayHi there, I am an agricultural student at Aberystwyth University and live on a dairy farm in Staffordshire. For my dissertation I am researching green bedding on dairy farms in the UK. If you have had experience with any dairy cow bedding material and have access to the herds data I would really appreciate it if you could fill in my survey. It shouldn't take any longer than 5 minutes. Thank you in advance! The link is below.
