what is the next best thing, need a full set on a 6290 on originals done over 6500 hours what would be the equal to them please?
Got them on a newer tractor and have had issues with them so not that excited about them tbhMulti bibs
Need 580 70 38 do the do that in xerebib?Xerobib - brilliant tyre, next step on from the 108
No we have a tractor on multi bibs and we don't like them, what's people's views on trelleborg and mitas, bkt? Also have original xm108 on same hours . Front slicks back 35%. Excellent tyres. Was thinking BKT next because there a lot cheaper and Multibibs don't seen to be lasting as well as the 108s

Looks like omnibib
Could have xeobib if I went for 600 rears I think!

A local tractor dealer had a customer who was buying 3 new tractors every 3 years on Xeobibs. They found his good second hand tractors were practically impossible to sell as no one wanted to buy a tractor that would soon commit them to buying expensive replacement tyres or having to buy new rims.Xeobib’s would need a rim change and are excellent tyres probably the best option if spec’ing a tractor from new.
I agree about the multibib they arent a patch on a 108 imoIs there a lack of consistency with tyres? I haven't tried Xeobibs but any Multibibs I've used weren't an improvement on XM108s. BKTs seem to be a real Marmite tyre, personally I wouldn't have them. Kleber are the tyre of choice for the contractors I'm working for at the moment.
Has anyone tried to import Goodyear or is it Titan they're called now? Know someone who got a new pair of 580/70r38 Optitracs that had been lying around for a while, tread is a good bit deeper on them and they can definitely grip.
I should of said road work is not a huge part of this tractors roll i would estimate that it does 80% field work, want something that floats grips and last most of all!Multibibs are an improvement on the 108’s, they have better directional stability ( ie don’t wallow when cornering on road ) and I’d say lasted slightly longer than 108’s ( got two tractors on Multibib’s ) however the BKT’s seem as good ( I couldn’t tell you how long they’ll last as only had a set for a couple of years on one tractor ) and are actually round. When you take into account the price I think the BKT’s take some beating. Xeobib’s would need a rim change and are excellent tyres probably the best option if spec’ing a tractor from new.
After learning of the rim change i tgink this is now unlikely, would you go for a omnibib or a bkt, think more of the soil than roadwork capabilities? If you can make 600 work for you I would do, they are an impressive tyre
Tyre technology must be one of the biggest innovations in ag over the last decade yet it’s rarely talked about
