Will this guttler press be much use without steering?
Mix of light and heavy land.
What about a cross slope when you're crabbing across the hill.

Or is a 45 degree ring plus front tines better? With steering?

We decided not, unless you're going to carry it on the slopes, sometimes we can be 3 or 4 rings up on the last work on our slopes and the guttler just turns in to a disc plough

You need steering unless you're totally flat .

Our new press same name as our old one has springs to stabilise the steering but it's too much the tractor can't steer it as well as the old one with none you can see it in the drilling I'm gonna have them off for the spring time so it'll cope better

We're on our 2nd heva with paddles and get on really well with it the first one did 14 yrs of around 800 acres on average and still wasn't knackered

Debating D rings or press rings?
Then spring or solid tines Infront?

Nothings flat here!!!

Imo the Lynx streamline D is the mutt's nutts, used to have 1 here with the rigid tine and paddle boards. But oh boy they are some money now!

I then went to a NRH with a farm force 45° shouldered type ring and its nowhere near the press the lynx was, but it was half the price and I wasn't intending to need a press for more than a few years so bought on price.

I looked at the heva front roller, I do like those, I have their combidisc as well with the same roller and I like the job it does
