Front seed tank question

Going to be very stupid here; but, if you have a front tank on a folding drill it balances lovely at the ends but weights the tractor down creating massive ruts if you are working on tender ground? I know you shouldn't be on the land if wet but sh!t happens. If you try to be clever and put press wheels under the tank to take some weight surely that creates more problems as its not across the full width of a folding machine? Is the answer simply to make sure the tractor is correctly shod? To be fair all the pics taken by @Phil P and @Bob lincs don't show any issues. All run by hydraulic fans these days? Any thoughts?

We have drilled in some really poor ( shouldn’t have really been there ) situations and creating ruts wit the front wheels has never been a problem. Yes hyd drive fans on all of ours . Are you looking for a front hopper folding combi??
If I was I couldn't afford yours.... Though they are the dogs danglies........(y)(y)(y)
Do you run eradicator tines on the harrow?

Same as Bob, never been an issue and we’ve drilled into some pretty poor conditions in the past!
To be fair as you say if it’s that bad you shouldn’t really be in the field!
Only time I can’t run the full weight of the hopper on the press is when I’m on our really light land and the hopper is full causing the press to sink in and bulldoze, not an issue on the heavy stuff though.
+1 for eradicators as well.

Have a Horsch KR 4 here and run it on the wheels most time, have never seen a problem where it’s running between the tractor wheels….. no track eradicators…. Had them on the last drill and where you probably really wanted them they were just cutting a slot…. Run 900’s instead.

So yours is on wheels?
Double press wheels under mine, usually go at least 1kph faster running with it down so saves fuel and time.
