Am I safe to plant a few runner bean plants out side yet?

There up to the top of kitchen window now and really need planting out?
Maybe, you're mid country but worth a go.
If you've got more seed, then a) pop 1 in as you plant out. b) sow more on the window sill
Could straw them up for shelter. Beware slugs

What are you going to support them with, we had a frame and a few wigwams and threw fleece over if it looked like frost, but stopped growing them because nobody liked them after the father in law died.

Got 2 metal sweet pea frames in the shed someone bought us 2 years ago and never used them! So to free up some space in shed i though i had better use them and cant eat sweet peas! So beans it is.

Can't you grow summat nice ? who the fudge likes runner beans .

I do! sliced up with bean slicer like spaghetti and lashings of thick gravy:love: Only the smaller young ones though not the tuff old ones about 2ft long:ROFLMAO:

Used to have them like that at Granddads years ago when at school, i used to walk to his house at lunch time and most days there was a full on roast dinner waiting! chicken or Beef with roast spuds and veg but sometimes it was gammon and home made chips:)

I miss his chips and runner beans:( oh and the all year round mince pies:love::love: every 2 weeks he would bake a batch of either mince pies or fruit cup cakes:)
