Nice day today but the forecast for the weekend is a Hawes (edit- lady of the night) breakfast.

Forecast after Sunday is much better. Finish some hedging Tuesday and Wednesday then chuck some shite Thursday to keep the footpaths clear on Friday. Be a bit of grace then until lambing is done.

I’ve been loathed to even take the bike over the fields the last few weeks. Fairly lifts the spirits to get a good dry spell this time of year

Caught out with the unexpected frost, so got the first muck of winter out. Slipped back home almost undetected, a little later than planned.....:pompous:

Funnily enough I did see a neighbour with the spreader in the back, as I was leaving the village in the car at lunchtime to drop off a present
Some farmers cannot stop, even on Christmas Day [emoji319][emoji85]

I think sometimes you've got to wonder whats waiting at home, either nothing or a nightmare. I won't judge either way, but for me as long as animals are happy and machines are running it can fark off for another day

Its just another day
Animals need tended etc
Wasnt even a holiday in scotland till the sevrnties

Plenty of other days are just working days too, weekends, my birthday, bank holidays, St Andrews Day, even St Davids Day, that I couldn't care less about and would happily chuck clarts about

I'll put animals needs above my own and make sure they're tended to, and any machinery that would stop me sorting the animals the next day, but I won't drop a day that matters to kids and family to tw@ about with slurry or fixing owt else.

Same here, but the whole thing is overblown.
This has been a totally stress free xmas, no travelling, no arguments, no rushing here and there.
Had the council round on tuesday and snotty letter from rpa, that was stress enough.

Heh I'll agree with that, it's been bliss- even managed to have lunch at lunch! Unheard of! Same again next year? Not the RPA bit obviously
