Fruit Focus 2019, hosted by Comexposium & Prysm Group on 17 July 2019 at the NIAB EMR Research Centre, will showcase product launches and new technologies and innovations in fruit farming.

In addition to the content sessions themed Setting the Ambition: NFU Fruit Forums and Managing Innovation & Technology: Insights from the cutting edge, Fruit Focus exhibitors are bringing their best and brightest ideas to the event. Join Fruit Focus to learn about exhibitor innovations including:

  • Bioline Agrosciences will present Bugline, a patented application system for Amblyseius type mites such as cucumeris and montdorensis which can be easily used in crops growing in rows like strawberries.
  • Brinkman will present 30MHz, the leading data platform for horticulture and agriculture. They will also have live bumblebees at their stand to encourage attendees to choose biological pollination. Also on display, PlantoSys develops plant-strengthening fertilizers that work; Menno Florades, a powerful disinfectant with a very effective effect against plant pathogenic bacteria, fungi, viruses and viroids and Machinery BioChopper crop rotation machines.
  • Fera’s vine spore monitoring service will prove to be a valuable asset to the vine grower by reducing the number of sprays and supporting cultural practices and solve wine production problems in a way that minimises the use of off-farm inputs, such as agricultural chemicals and fertilisers, protecting workers, the environment, and society at large. Fera is also coordinating a nationwide community effort to sample and analyse the biodiversity of our soil – this will help to develop sustainable agriculture and improve soil health.
  • The Natural Resources Institute works to improve food production and food supply chains across the globe and will be showcasing work on fresh produce handling and storage to reduce waste, initiatives to provide technical support for the use of recycled and compostable plastics in fresh produce packaging and work on integrated pest management.
  • CMW Horticulture will showcase all technologies for the production of soft fruit under cover: Screens, lighting, CO2 distribution, irrigation, Priva climate control, Priva irrigation control, Priva fertigation systems, labour and production data recording systems. CMW also partners with Certhon B.V. and VDH Foliekasen B.V. for the design and construction of turnkey Glasshouse and Polyhouse projects.

Beekenkamp presents durable plastic products for the fruit industry: Substrate troughs, strawberry trays and storage crates and new nestable growing pots for blueberry 25L, 35L, 45L alongside new strawberry growing tray with 30 holes
