Seriously though, how many of you will now admit to expecting post brexit to actually be of benefit to man or beast? Have you had any second thoughts yet? Maybe you actually are the turkey that voted for Christmas?
Well there is the Sustainable farming initiative that we know nothing much about yet.
And Elms which is still being tested and trialled.

Going to a bit of a hungry gap!?

Cannot wait, i wish they would get on with it. Payment reductions on subsidy was expected but it will be topped up and replaced with payments for improving water quality and the environment. Government leaks are sickening and show that many politicians and civil servants are vermin

Bit confused by your post. Are you expecting payments for water quality and environment to be greater than the loss of BPS? Just that you say reduced subs will be topped and replaced. Be good if you could explain exactly what you anticipate. Thank you.

I think in the long run we could be better off. All depends on how the trading relationship goes with our friends and neighbours and how friendly and neighbourly they want to be to their new best enemies.

Like 40% grants, leaving you to pay 60% for things that don't give you any economic return you mean?

Reductions on standard sfp will be topped back up with grants etc for water quality ,tree planting etc and standard sfp phased out. Winners and losers . I was hoping sub would be stopped altogether tbh but what would they frighten us with if they did.

Help those with field or field corners that are of no use or poor etc. Farming without subs/grants is the aim and by fighting to keep cheap imports out we improve prices to compensate

Have you discussed and agreed this with Dave Potts, Roger Burnley and Ken Murphy to name but a few folk who might have a significant say in that statement of yours. Cheers

part of me is quite looking foward to it...the other part is terrified :scratchhead:

it'll be ok if prices stay good BUT if prices fall food production will plummet

i've still not heard if my 'wildlife offer' has been successful:scratchhead: ..if it is and i fully implement it my bps would be replaced but my ag output would fall 70 odd %

The ONLY thing that really matters is your bottom line.
