I haven't run out but it's below the bottom of the sight glass, so I figured the extra £13.75 of the 2nd quote was easily worth 2 days extra peace if it conked out over the weekend.
I keep telling my dear wife that Emeline Pankhurst and the suffragettes chained themselves to railings just so that she (Mrs PSQ) could check the oil level herself, but no, apparently thats 'a mans job'. She's so sexist.
We have a 1000 gallon tank feeding 3 houses, that ran out one weekend last year, i had to go a garage that sold kero by the pump with 10, 25litre drums, i got some funny looks i can tell you, got home put them all in the grain bucket, pored in tank one by one, my arm nearly fell off. apparently that was my fault too even though the tank is situated at a house i don,t live at, but where a fat bloke lived. At the time he could,t get off his fat ass to check the level even though i had asked him to keep an eye on it.

Derv at the pump next week 102.27 + VAT (+0.5p's worth of Nectar Points) on our regular 3 weeks to pay deal.

Been offered prospecting rates as low as 100.27 + VAT but past experience suggests that this fuelcard Co would need watching like a hawk not to take the peee in a few weeks time

You've been robbed, you are paying £50 too much...Haggle more.
Feel like I have. My breakdown of prices offered to me, 2 local companies around the 60-60.5ppl
Oil 4 Wales 57.5ppl
Certas original offer was 58ish, haggles them down to 56.8ppl after telling the rep a few porky-pies. Sounds like I should have pushed a bit harder.

This annoys me about some fuel firms pricing, they just want you to tell them lowest previous price and they'll beat it. Why should i? If I'm quoting for work and other customers just use that as a base price to beat i wouldn't be happy.

Always ask for best price. Not going to tell them price they've to beat.

Rant over.

Agreed.

I always tell them they are the first I have called.
