Cheers, my last out of Wooler too, but from Grangemouth with the reduced Fame. Be interested if any mention of En590 on ticket/invoice - mine just says a2 gas oil.
just says GAS OIL on del note. Rep assured me its the white (EN590) with the Dye in but he could possibly sell sand to the Egyptians so god knows :ROFLMAO:

Perhaps your rep needs to learn his trade a bit better. All diesel sold in the EU (Britain included) must meet en590 specification. Red dye simply shows that it is not duty rated!
not quite true sir Red Diesel or GAS OIL is a diff spec to Derv EN590

The British standard for red diesel used as heating fuel is BS 2869 Class D which has a maximum permitted sulphur content of 1,000 parts per million ( ppm ). The British Standard for red diesel used in non-road mobile machines is BS 2869

Thank you, I stand corrected, although our reps down here tell us that the red we buy is normal white derv just with dye added!
Although your article mentions British standards, but we are under EU legislation to en standards
