Heating Oil 5500 litres, split between 3 properties within 200m of each other,at 38.5p Watsons.Seems very high considering crude price.Chap on the phone said they were flat out.I expect when the panic buying is over prices will drop.I didn’t ring anyone else as we have an elderly mother, with dementia, who is just about out. With lambing we'd forgotten to check her tank.
By sheer coincidence had another fuel company contact me today and they were 30.0p but couldn't deliver for 12 days.8.5p difference ???

People are panic buying kero now.

NFU are asking for vulnerable and ag use to get priority.

2 week wait for red atm
Closure of building sites given them a lot of cancelled orders and freedom to catch up. I'm on weekly deliveries for red now. Just topping up tank when in vicinity

Red 47.81 for 1000 lt delivered by 15th April. Watsons were booking slots but not giving a price. Barton not taking on new customers. As getting low on fuel phoned local supplier 82p lt for red from forecourt for small amounts.

Had a delivery this morning. Driver, who has been coming here for years so I would trust what he says, said they were very busy and would be delivering on Saturday's to help. Apparantly lot of orders came in as fuel dropped as well as people stocking upbecause of the virus.

Just seen a Ford Fuels pickup go past on the road with an IBC of what looked like Kero. Seems they're laying on the backup team to make some deliveries or at least top up those who only need a little bit to tide them over until the tankers can catch up and do a full load.
