Yes liquid for home separated for away ground. Something contractors are happy to pump and something that can be put in a round store with a roof hopefully half paid for by the govt and a farm that passes easily when the ea authorise my dairy permit in 2025.

Can you not put a pipe under the road to get to away ground?

The metal in the pumps is far better now. 15 years ago contractor would blow through an old casing in 3 days. Not an issue now.

We got through a brand new casing in an hour and a half 3years ago. They offered.

Away ground is 4 miles and 2 villages. Pipe just won't do it.

Must be using a different pump to what ours use. It's a light green colour iirc. We pumped for 5 days solid last month and it wasn't a new pump. We only add enough water back to the slurry to get it up the pipe.

As you're spring calving, and in Cornwall, why not consider out wintering a portion of the herd? There's no regs on muck for them.
Same as what @Friesianfan said basically, I've not met the neigbours yet so am trying to keep on their good side!!
Plus I'm a bit of a softy anyway and tried out wintering my sucklers this winter, I got to the 15th of december before I felt sorry for them and let them in the shed... (I know, sh!t farmer alert and all that... 😂 ) but then I didnt give them a grass lie back which I think would have made all the difference, live and learn I guess!
