Gable sheeting

Seen lads do this a couple of ways, some fix it on square then cut from roof, others lay it out on ground and pull a line to get angle then cut and fix, and yet others measuring for each sheet as they go, what's the most common, best method

We cut them when they are on as we are doing barge boards. We use a cordless circular metal saw. Not a grinder as they melt the plastic coating
On a 15 degree pitch each sheet is ordered 270mm longer as they go up the pitch

Im familiar with the grinder melting the sheeting unfortunately, what type of blade do you use on the circular saw, and how is it different to the angle grinder.

We have a cordless circular metal saw with a tungsten tipped saw blade. About 120mm in diameter. Dewalt
