What is your opinion on these kale game strips , I have been told to re drill them with no real rain forecast .
Some of the pictures you will need to zoom in to get a better view of plant numbers .

If I’d got kale to that stage I wouldn’t want to be re drilling it.
Our GC are very slow this year. Can’t understand why, but it seems I’m not alone.

Mine was very very slow to get going, maize though. then it came dry, I ended up redrilling every other 3m swath with some buckwheat, tillage raddish, mustard, seems to have shot out the ground and looks well in comparison to the maize strips I have left. Bit hit and miss this year for Gamecovers. Glad I have only a few birds due.

More covers .
Surely as soon as it rains , which it always does here from the second week in August , the kale will grow . It's got another 10 weeks to grow in .
What am I going to achieve by redrilling these .

Yep, I had one early drilled GC area that germinated, then died in the drought. Redrilled came well, but I failed miserably with a stale seedbed... :-(

Still, It's all cover and feed, although I wish I could take out Lakeweed!!
