How are you charging the battery, If off the caravan trickle charge, take the anti drain solanoid off the pickup(leaving the fuse) otherwise you'll have a flat battery on the trailer in 6 months or so. Apparently the solanoid suffers from a voltage drop after a while leading to poor charge on the trailer battery.Deck downView attachment 448450

Rear gate fits onto divider to create cattle dividing gate

We opted not to have a battery on the trailer (keeping the weight down). The motor is wired directly to the pickup's battery. There's nothing supporting the top of the cattle divider but it seems pretty sturdy. Have they got anything supporting the top of the cattle gate now?
Brocken the hinge twice on our now, so going to have to put some sort of support for it.We opted not to have a battery on the trailer (keeping the weight down). Very little drag with it tbf.The shaped front should make a big diffrence pulling it,
Like it.Deck downView attachment 448450

I think a couple of spring bolts from the posts into the centre post of the trailer should do the trick on mine. What did you have in mind?
.
There's an extra piece of gate in this one to add onto the top which is stowed in the roof. Maybe that could be fixed to the roof or sides??I think a couple of spring bolts from the posts into the centre post of the trailer should do the trick on mine.
Yours looks a bit different design , so might not work the same.

Took ages to figure it out, volt meter on pickup battery 14V but only 13V on trailer battery, finally removed solanoid and hay presto 14V on both. That's interesting. Mine certainly doesn't charge like it used to, which I had assumed was the battery getting on a bit. Just got to remember to unplug it when parked up at the market I suppose....
If you are towing with the same vehicle(s) regularly why don't you connect directly to the pickup battery? That's interesting.
