shipping container would do your job, if it was nicely painted

I think the neighbours may object to a shipping container being dropped in back garden via a giant crane swinging it over there houses! Not to mention the wiff or the cost of getting it there!

My thoughts too , this slipped in flat pack and nobody knows it's here.

use some seconds composite panels for your roof ,green/brown outside insulated fix straight into top of wall plate will not need any additional support

Wooden shutters on the inside, or even nail up a curtain.
Leave room for access round the back for maintenance.

To me the most important things about a shed are 1. The style. You have to look at it & in ACEngineering's case, so do the neighbours! More shed than lawn is fine, less mowing! 2. Eaves & gable overhangs really make the building & save on future maintenance.
Personally I like wriggly pan-tile style tin sheet so if I was making any shed now I'd have this as my roof in the style of my earlier picture.....With the overhang acting as shade on those rare but wonderful summer days when you can sit & admire your garden (what's left of it) and enjoy a beer/pimms/wine & have a bbq

This is why i dont want to buy on as even the cheap ones this size start at £800 and for one half decent is at least £1500. One i seen i really like is double that!

Got most of the gear just need the ideas! Got mitre saw etc just need to buy a cheap air nail gun.

I think this is about the best built one I can find for the money other than building my own Got the thickest cladding decent framing although standard 3x2 studs would be better! and no crappy felt to mess about with

do you have any house kit builders around you , see if they have any panels that have been made up wrong or are surplus as they make a great start to a shed

Looking for a decent garden shed. Dont really like the look of most o have seen on market and ones i do like are too expensive. So thinking of making my own any one got some plans for a decent pent shed?

Not the most elegant of sheds and they benefit if you line them out to reduce condensation but provided they are erected by an intelligent person then they are structurally sound for a good while longer than the 10 year warranty.

Some other sizes are available with a brown wood grained shiplap appearance cladding.

Oh, and don't add a "floorkit", get some treated slate lath and make your own frame to keep a ply floor off the concrete base [emoji6]

Strong sheds best around by far and steel roof so no maintenance required, certainly worth a look we are more than impressed
